The listing does not seem to corroborate any technical details of the rumoured device, but it does appear to validate the X Fold+ name. A recent tip debunked rumours that the smartphone will be called the Vivo X Fold S. There have also been leaks about the phone’s supposed features and specs. The foldable phone was reportedly detected on the China 3C certification database and the testing website Geekbench.

The Vivo X Fold+ (model number V2229A) is now included on Google’s list of compatible smartphones. According to the listing, Vivo may soon introduce their foldable smartphone. There is no information about the next phone’s specs on Google’s list of devices that are compatible with the Google Play store. While the Vivo X Fold+ has not yet been formally unveiled, the listing does confirm the name.

It had been speculated that the phone will be called the Vivo X Fold S when it debuted. A recent rumour said its official name will be the Vivo X Fold+. The same source also allegedly disclosed some information about the foldable phone’s specs. Rumor has it that the Vivo X Fold+ has a quad rear camera configuration consisting of a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, a 12-megapixel portrait lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. Supposedly, the phone’s front-facing camera is a whopping 16 megapixels.

The Vivo X Fold+ may use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, as suggested in a previous rumour. According to reports, it has a 4,700 mAh battery and can be charged at 80W via cable or 50W wirelessly. It’s being billed as an improved replacement for the Vivo X Fold, which made its debut in China in April.

The model number V2229A seen in the Google Play supported devices list matches the one found in the China 3C database, suggesting that the device in question is the Vivo X Fold+. Geekbench saw the foldable phone and speculated that it will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. A 2K LTPO screen with an adjustable refresh rate of 120Hz is reportedly included. The smartphone may also include an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner integrated into the touchscreen.
